Quietly losing my mind over the fact that Elon Musk has straight up orchestrated a coup of our executive branch and like….I don’t even know what, if any, system we have in place to fix this. Like… He’s just taken control of the money and locked out the actual appointed officials. What the fuck.
Nazis are taking over my government, and like, not even just the Nazis we fucking elected! And I’m…making hamburgers? Because somebody has to make dinner? I just feel completely unhinged.
I think that’s how random civillians generally feel in these situations. Someone’s gotta make dinner.
If you’re wondering, there is plenty to be done about it, and plenty being done about it already, even if it’s not happening instantly in a way you can perceive.
Reblogging because this is an excellent article that both tells you about some of what’s being done and breaks it down in a way that will help you understand and think about future action. Please read!

We joke and all but some of you really forget that people hate women.
Seeing people wonder “how can people say stuff like this” and “why does [x misogynistic thing] keep happening” is a bit disorienting because when you take a five second pause to think about it you can realize quite immediately that it’s because people hate women. Like guys… people HATE women.

Rewatching Scandal as an adult is going to be FUN. I watched it for the first time as a teenager. An older teenager, but still a teenager. Every Thursday night, I would lock in for the coveted hours of 8-10pm and live tweet TGIT (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder) with the shows’ casts and crews.
As a longtime fan of Shonda Rhimes’s work, I felt so close to that creative process that I longed to know and understand and do. I felt like I was a part of something – a community of people watching TV together. It was big — so big that it’s strange (yet so deeply understandable) to watch Kerry Washington announce that she’s leaving Twitter. Scandal was THE show that started live tweeting back in the day. It was THAT big of a deal, and Kerry’s exit really puts into perspective how that TV-watching community has changed thanks to all the algorithms and buyouts.
Anyway, watching Scandal as an adult is going to be fun. I always understood Olivia and Fitz. I got why people liked them together. But I rooted for Jake the second that he walked into the picture. I had no choice when Scott Foley had recently (more recently than Felicity) played Henry Miller on Grey’s Anatomy and ripped my heart out in the process. But I also remember things getting really dark and weird (more so than Scandal’s usual) with Jake there towards the end. Right before Olivia and Fitz got back together.
So, I’m curious to see what I think of all of that now. I’m mostly just excited to experience the absolutely heart-racing speed of this show.
Have you watched or recently rewatched Scandal? What do you think of the show? Let’s chat!

It’s uncanny how similar Trump is acting like Hitler. People are now doing the Nazi salute. They’re drawing the symbol. The KKK was seen in Kentucky asking people to join them. ICE has been ripping families apart. Companies have pulled back Diversity Initiatives. We’re no longer part of WHO and there won’t be any communication from the CDC at least until February 1st. We’re being censored and the news can’t be trusted. Thousands of Americans didn’t know there were protests against Trump yesterday outside the U.S. Quotes from The Handmaid’s Tale and Anne Frank have been compared to what’s going on right now.
According to The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Studies and Prevention the U.S. has officially been given a red flag alert for Genocide.
I’m exhausted but I will never stop being angry.
